For the first time, this coming season, we are introducing an Opening Ceremony for Dubai Fashion Week which will be held on Wednesday 19th October, the evening before the shows commence. This event will premiere our newly designed venue for the first time to the entire fashion industry from around the region including designers, media, fashion buyers and VIP guests. The pivotal attraction of the Opening Ceremony will be an outstanding theatrical collection show that will feature all the designers participating in DFW and will also be an incredible representation of Dubai's art and culture. The theme for the show will be "Celebrating the culture of New Dubai". The collection show room, which will be filled with 12 tonnes of sands to create sand dunes, will replicate the core of DFW’s destination. The show will commence with an enticing modern outfit arriving on an Arabian horse. The kaleidoscope of fashion and culture will continue with a mesmerizing projection, traditional Arabic music fused with rap and traditional dance, all blended with the stunning designs of our designers showcased on international and local models. This is going to be a spectacular moment for the fashion industry and for Dubai.
